FAQ

EVDC PRO

EVDC is building a community-powered EV charging network and wants to make charging infrastructure accessible to as many property owners and businesses as possible.

Instead of charging you the full price of the EVDC PRO charger, eligible hosts can get the charger for just €1. In exchange, EVDC retains 20% of the revenue generated from charging sessions at your station.

This 20% helps cover the technology, network connectivity, payment processing, software, customer support, maintenance, and ongoing servicing of the EVDC network.

You keep 80% of the charging revenue generated by your station.

Yes. For eligible locations approved to participate in the EVDC network, the EVDC PRO charger is available for €1.

The €1 price applies to the charger itself. Installation, Shipping & Customs Taxes are separate and must be paid by you, the customer and installed by a qualified electrician. Your location must also meet EVDC's participation requirements and be approved before the charger is deployed.

There are no hidden monthly charger fees associated with the 20% revenue share model. EVDC earns its share through the charging sessions generated at your station.

EVDC operates a revenue-sharing model.

When an EV driver charges at your EVDC station, the charging session generates revenue. 80% goes to the station host and 20% goes to EVDC.

EVDC's 20% share helps fund the infrastructure and services required to operate the network, including software, connectivity, payment processing, customer support, maintenance, and servicing.

Our goal is to grow the network together with our hosts rather than charging hosts a large upfront cost for the charger.

The 20% revenue share allows EVDC to provide the charger at a significantly reduced upfront cost while continuing to operate and support the charging network.

It helps cover services such as network connectivity, software, payment processing, remote monitoring, customer support, maintenance, and ongoing servicing.

Rather than paying the full cost of the charger upfront and potentially paying additional platform fees, you participate in a model where EVDC succeeds when your charging station is being used.

Yes. EVDC recommends that the charger be installed by a qualified and certified electrician familiar with EV charging installations and your local electrical requirements.

The electrician will determine whether your electrical panel and existing infrastructure can support the charger, install the appropriate protection and wiring, and commission the unit.

Installation requirements can vary depending on the charger model, available electrical capacity, cable distance, and local regulations.

The EVDC PRO is rated for 32A at 400V three-phase, providing up to 22 kW of AC charging power.

For a full-power installation, your electrical system must have sufficient three-phase capacity to supply the charger continuously. The charger should be installed on a dedicated circuit with the appropriate electrical protection.

Your electrician will need to verify your building's available electrical capacity and determine whether your existing service can support a 22 kW EV charger without exceeding the capacity of your electrical installation.

If your electrical service does not have enough available capacity, your electrician may recommend an electrical service upgrade or a lower charging current, depending on your installation.

The EVDC PRO is rated at 32A three-phase and up to 22 kW.

For a typical 22 kW installation, the charger is commonly supplied by a 40A three-phase circuit, with the cable sized according to the applicable local electrical code and the specific installation conditions.

The required wire size can vary depending on factors such as:

  • Cable length
  • Installation method
  • Ambient temperature
  • Voltage drop
  • Type of cable
  • Local electrical regulations

For this reason, the final breaker and wire size must be determined and installed by a qualified electrician.

Important: The EVDC PRO must be installed according to EVDC's installation instructions and the electrical requirements applicable in your country.

EVDC PRO certification depends on the specific model and market.

Depending on the product and region, EVDC products may be certified or compliant with applicable requirements such as CE, FCC, RoHS, and North American EV charging safety standards.

We continuously work to ensure our products meet the applicable requirements of the markets in which they are offered.

For the exact certifications applicable to your charger, please consult the product's technical specifications or contact our support team.

Yes. EVDC PRO chargers are designed for outdoor as well as indoor charging applications, subject to the installation requirements of the specific model.

The charger incorporates protection (IP54) features designed to help protect the equipment during normal operation and exposure to environmental conditions.

However, proper installation is essential. The charger must be installed according to EVDC's installation instructions and applicable local electrical and building requirements.

EVDC PRO chargers are designed to work with a wide range of electric vehicles that use the corresponding AC charging connector.

Compatibility ultimately depends on your vehicle's charging inlet and its maximum AC charging capability. Your vehicle may also charge at a lower power than the charger's maximum rating.

If you're unsure whether your vehicle is compatible, contact us with your vehicle make, model, and year, and we can help you determine the appropriate EVDC charger.

No.

The EVDC PRO includes a 4G sim card installed that activates upon connection.

Meaning, wherever you are, you will get connectivity without the hassle of connecting your charger to the Wi-Fi network. The cost of the allowed data per month is cover by us!

This allows EVDC stations to remain connected without requiring every host to have a dedicated Wi-Fi connection at the charger.

Yes. EVDC PRO is designed as a connected EV charging solution.

Through the EVDC EARN platform, hosts can access information about their station and charging activity, while supported features can include remote monitoring and control, charging-session information, station status, revenue and so much more.

The exact features available may depend on the charger model, connectivity, software version, and EVDC service configuration.

Once your EVDC PRO charger is installed, approved, and connected to the EVDC network, you can make your station available to EV drivers for paid charging.

You set the charging price, and drivers pay when they use your station. EVDC processes and manages the charging-network services, while you receive 80% of the charging revenue generated by your station.

EVDC retains 20% to cover the operation and servicing of the network.

The more your station is used, the more charging revenue it can generate.

RFID Card

The EVDC RFID card allows you to start and stop charging sessions at compatible charging stations without having to use your phone or open the EVDC app.

The EVDC RFID card costs €18.99.

You can order an EVDC RFID card through your EVDC account via the mobile application or directly on the website.

First, plug your vehicle into the charging station. Then, hold your EVDC RFID card against the RFID reader on the charging station to start the session. Once the card is recognized and authorized, charging will begin.

To stop the charging session, hold the same EVDC RFID card against the RFID reader again. Once the session has ended, you can unplug your vehicle.

You need an EVDC account to use the RFID card, but you do not need to have the app open on your phone when starting or stopping a session with the card.

Yes. Once your RFID card is linked to your EVDC account, you can use it to start charging without your phone.

Yes!

The charging session is charged to the payment method configured on your EVDC account. If your Wallet is selected as the default payment method, the session will be paid using your Wallet balance.

Yes. The RFID card itself does not add an additional charging cost. When the Wallet is selected as the payment method, you receive the same Wallet pricing.

Delivery can take up to 30 business days. Delivery times may vary depending on postal services and periods of high volume.

No. The EVDC RFID card does not have an expiration date and remains valid as long as it is supported and linked to an active EVDC account.

Yes, provided that the charging station and operator are supported by EVDC and accept the EVDC RFID card.

Pre-authorization and fees

The minimum Wallet balance required to start a charging session is €35.

This requirement is in place to ensure there are sufficient funds available to cover the charging session and avoid payment issues if the session costs more than expected. If the Wallet balance is below €35, the charging session cannot be started using the Wallet.

The customer can simply top up the Wallet until the balance reaches at least €35.

The €35 is a temporary pre-authorization required to start a charging session.
It is not a charge. After the session ends:

-The real cost is charged.
-The remaining amount is automatically released or refunded by your bank.
-Refund timing depends on your bank (usually 24–72 hours).

Please also note that, when paying by credit card, if the payment is declined at the end of the charging session, an additional €2.89 fee may apply because we need to use the pre-authorization to complete the payment.

At the end of the charging session, if we attempt to charge the final amount and the card is declined, the pre-authorization will be used and an additional fee of €2.89 will be applied.

This fee is applied only when the pre-authorization is used.

If the charge for the session is successfully completed, the pre-authorization is immediately refunded and no additional fees are applied.
